Larry Herrera, jeweler and silversmith, has always been strongly influenced in his art-making, by the architecture and the pictorial images of the Spanish Moorish and mesa American cultures. His work also reflects the respect he feels for the culture of the indigenous people of the southwest.
Herrera, a lifelong resident of Arroyo Hondo, a small village in Northern New Mexico, designs in silver and stone, blending ancient images into contemporary settings. The result is classic and unique.
